On Sunday, October 14, a source close to Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson told CNN that they have decided to end their engagement. The pair got engaged back in June after only three weeks of dating and have been engaged for a total of 126 days.
The pair initially met on Saturday Night Live, and began their relationship in May. Ariana and Pete have several matching tattoos together, going as far as having eight tattoos dedicated to one another. Grande has recently decided to cover one of her Pete Davidson tattoos with a band-aid.
Ariana even has a song titled “Pete” in her “Sweetener” album, in which she refers to him as her soulmate.
After announcing the split, Grande made her fist public appearance at a taping for “NBC’s A Very Wicked Halloween.”
“Ok today was very special and I’m so grateful I was able to be there,” Grande says in her now-deleted Instagram story.
She then announced she would be taking a hiatus from social media.
“Time to say bye bye again to the internet for just a lil bit. It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that I’m not trying to see rn. It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep going. love u. and thank u for bein here always,” Grande wrote.
According to an insider with PEOPLE, the two have broken up multiple times.
